A. Framework contracts for the following in the F/Y 2025-2026:

Proposals are hereby invited for the appointment of a professional service provider for the Boegoebaai Port and rail development market research studies for a period of six (6) months.
Scope of work:
The service provider is required to identify and liaise amongst others with various large scale and small-scale mining houses, agriculture industry/organizations, rail sector and/or associations, green hydrogen and its derivatives producers, internal Transnet stakeholders, external stakeholders, subject matter experts and other relevant parties to achieve the deliverables of this assignment. The Service Provider is required to carry out market analysis using appropriate tools and models to deliver to the Client:
Market Demand Analysis:
• Analyze historical and projected trade volumes for, not limited to, bulk liquid, dry bulk and break-bulk commodities from 2016 to 2025 and projected to 2050;
• Identify potential customers and their requirements;
• Assess regional economic growth trends and industrial development plans.
Competitive Landscape Assessment:
• Benchmark Boegoebaai against other ports and logistics corridors handling similar and anticipated commodities (e.g. bulk minerals), rail and roads;
• Identify and evaluate logistical advantages and constraints;
• Identify potential areas for differentiation;
• Follow development in the Northern Cape corridors (mining and exploration work) looking at National Freight Logistics, this should include following developments in the agriculture sector.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Conduct consultations with, not limited to, industry players, logistics service providers, customers, and investors;
• Gather insights on market perceptions and potential demand drivers;
• Source supporting infrastructure development plans of the Northern Cape from local
government stakeholders.
Freight Demand Model Boegoebaai Port and Rail Development:
• Traffic flow analysis covering key corridors and nodes linkage to Boegoebaai port and rail (bulk mineral corridor, solar corridor and agricultural corridor etc.);
• Modal split analysis (hinterland, road, rail and other relevant transport modes).
Economic and Financial Analysis:
• Provide revenue projections based on market insights;
• Assess cost-benefit implications for Transnet and investors;
• Identify potential funding and investment sources for the Boegoebaai Port and Rail
Development.

Information is hereby invited for the design, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of solar PV microgrid.
Scope of works:
Service providers will be expected to demonstrate capability in end-to-end delivery of solar PV microgrid systems including (but not limited to):
• Detailed system design and engineering;
• Procurement and supply of all microgrid components (including PV modules, inverters, energy storage systems, enclosure / housing / container / building, etc;
• Transportation and delivery to sites including remote and challenging terrains;
• Civil, structural, and electrical installation works (Demonstrate knowledge of buildings and fire regulations governing the installation of electrical equipment and battery energy storage);
• System commissioning, performance validation, and handover to Eskom standards;
• Detailed maintenance engineering strategy based on Failure Mode and Effects / Criticality Analysis (FMECA) principles, that will direct all maintenance aspects during the life cycle of the asset, inclusive of all Task Manuals and related artifacts;
• Operation and maintenance proposals for post-commissioning periods including trainings.

Scope:
a)
1) Design, install, and commission a 3 KVA 3 KWh solar power with lithium battery solution at the Lephalale and Alkantpan Lightning Detection Network (LDN) site in Limpopo and Northern Cape:

2) The client shall ensure that representatives are present at the installation. However, this shall not be seen as part of training.
b) Included is the provision of a minimum of 5 days accredited installer training with assessment to 5 clients personnel within the Pretoria area at the Bidders training facilities with training materials provided by the bidder. The training is a physical training with practical included. Note: no online training will be allowed.
