Ansys: R188m Transnet tender secured

Ansys has been awarded a R188 million contract by Transnet for an integrated dashboard display system for locomotives. The black-owned AltX-listed engineering technology company said yesterday that it had developed the integrated system display in-house and the intention was for it to be manufactured and assembled locally in line with the group’s commitment to localisation. Teddy Daka, the chief executive of Ansys, said the Transnet contract was just one milestone on the group’s growth trajectory and reflected its focus on growing its order book. Ansys rose 9.09 percent to 32.73.
